How do I list my business on MyGuyPro?
Download the app, create your account, and select "I'm a Pro." Complete your profile with your name, trade, service area, and a few sentences about your experience. Once submitted, our team reviews it — typically within a few business days. Essential verification is free to start. You can upgrade to Pro ($79.99/mo or $769.99/yr) or Premier Pro ($139.99/mo or $999.99/yr) at any time from app settings or your account page.
Do you charge commissions or per-lead fees?
Never. MyGuyPro charges a flat monthly subscription fee — and that's it. Every dollar you earn from every job goes directly to you. We don't take a percentage of your revenue, and we don't charge you for leads whether you win the job or not. This is a foundational promise of our platform.
What's the difference between Essential, Pro, and Premier Pro?
Essential is free — you get a public profile, direct messaging, up to 5 booking requests/month, and the Verified mark once our team reviews your profile. Pro ($79.99/mo, or $769.99/yr billed annually) adds unlimited booking requests, profile view analytics, enhanced search ranking, and the Verified Pro badge. Premier Pro ($139.99/mo, or $999.99/yr billed annually) adds priority top placement in search and Featured Professionals placement on home. Annual billing saves about 20% on Pro and about 40% on Premier Pro. All tiers include zero platform commission for pros.
How are trust badges earned?
Trust badges are performance-based, not tier-based — they're earned by delivering great service. Once you hit 10 reviews with a 4.7+ average rating, you earn the Recommended badge. Keep that up and at 25 reviews with a 4.9+ average, you earn Highly Trusted — the platform's top signal. Badges appear on your profile and in search results, and update automatically as your reviews come in. They're the same at every tier, so Essential pros can earn them too.
How does the verification process work?
After you submit your profile, our team manually reviews it to confirm you're a legitimate local service professional. We check that your trade, service area, and contact info are accurate. Most reviews are completed within a few business days. If we need additional info, we'll reach out directly. Once approved, your green Verified badge goes live.
Where do I manage my subscription?
It depends on where you subscribed. If you subscribed through the iOS app via the App Store, manage your subscription in iOS Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions → MyGuyPro. From there you can change your billing cycle (Monthly ↔ Annual), upgrade between tiers, or cancel. If you subscribed on myguypro.app, manage your subscription on the /account page — billing, invoices, cancellation, and plan changes all happen there. Tap "Current Plan" in the app's menu to see which surface applies to you.
How do I cancel my Pro or Premier Pro subscription?
Subscriptions purchased through the iOS app are cancelled in iOS Settings → Subscriptions → MyGuyPro → Cancel Subscription. Subscriptions purchased on myguypro.app are cancelled on the /account page via the Stripe portal. Either way, your profile remains active at the Essential (free) tier after cancellation — you keep all your reviews, ratings, and bookings history. You won't be charged again after your current billing period ends.
Can I switch between Monthly and Annual billing?
Yes. On iOS, open the App Store subscription manager (iOS Settings → Subscriptions → MyGuyPro) and pick the Annual or Monthly variant — Apple handles proration automatically. On the web, the /account page lets you switch directly. Annual billing saves about 20% on Pro and about 40% on Premier Pro.
I subscribed on both the app and the website — what happens?
Both subscriptions stay active and you'll be billed by both Apple and Stripe until one is cancelled. We strongly recommend keeping a single subscription. To resolve a duplicate: pick the platform you prefer (the App Store, or myguypro.app), cancel the OTHER one using the steps above, and you'll only be billed on one going forward. Both subscriptions grant the same in-app tier, so there's no benefit to keeping both active. If you'd like a refund on a recent duplicate charge, contact support@myguypro.app and we'll help you sort it out.
I reinstalled the app — how do I get my subscription back?
Open the app, sign in to the same account you used originally, go to Menu → Current Plan → Restore Purchases. Apple looks up the active subscriptions on your Apple ID and rewires your tier on this device. This works after reinstalls, on new devices, or when switching from sandbox to production billing.
What happens if my payment fails?
If a renewal payment fails, Apple or Stripe will retry on their standard schedule (about 3 attempts over a few days). Your subscription stays active during the retry window. If payment still hasn't succeeded after the final retry, your tier drops back to Essential and you can re-subscribe at any time. You'll always get a billing notification email from Apple or Stripe before any change.
I deleted my MyGuyPro account — am I still being charged?
Deleting your account in the app does NOT cancel a subscription you bought through Apple's App Store. Apple requires you to cancel that separately in iOS Settings → Subscriptions → MyGuyPro → Cancel Subscription. Subscriptions bought on myguypro.app are cancelled automatically when you delete your account. If you've deleted your account and still see a charge from Apple, follow the iOS Settings path or contact support@myguypro.app.
What does "priority placement" mean for Premier Pro?
Premier Pro pros appear at the top of relevant search results when clients search for their trade and service area. Within the Premier Pro tier, ordering is based on rating and review quality — not on who pays more. This ensures clients always see the best, most trusted options first, and that your performance directly impacts your visibility.
